Refund Policy

REFUNDS, RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

At Comm de Nom, each wallpaper order is printed to order with care and precision. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, we encourage all customers to review this policy carefully before placing an order and to inspect all items immediately upon delivery.


 

 

ORDER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

As all wallpaper is printed to order, once an order has entered production we are unable to cancel, amend, combine, or modify the order, including:

  • product selection
  • quantities
  • colourways
  • panel sizing
  • shipping details
  • delivery addresses

Comm de Nom reserves the right to cancel an order where payment cannot be verified, stock or materials become unavailable, fraudulent activity is suspected, or delivery cannot reasonably be fulfilled. In such cases, any payment received will be refunded in full.


 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Due to the made-to-order nature of our wallpaper products, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds for:

  • change of mind
  • incorrect product selection
  • incorrect measurements or quantities ordered
  • over-ordering
  • slight colour or scale variation between digital screens and printed product
  • orders placed separately resulting in batch variation
  • installation errors
  • damage caused during installation
  • wear, misuse, improper storage, or environmental conditions after delivery

 

We strongly recommend ordering an A4 sample prior to purchasing full wallpaper panels or rolls, as colours, textures, metallic finishes, and scale may appear differently across screens and lighting conditions.

Where a return is approved by Comm de Nom, items must:

 

  • be unused, uninstalled, and unaltered
  • be returned in original condition and packaging
  • include all labels and documentation
  • be lodged within seven (7) days of delivery
  • be returned within five (5) business days of receiving return authorisation

 

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

Approved exchanges for reasons other than product fault may incur a 20% restocking fee.

Original shipping costs, customs fees, and duties are non-refundable unless required under applicable consumer law.


 

TRANSIT DAMAGE & FAULTY GOODS

Customers must inspect all wallpaper carefully before installation.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact within seven (7) days of delivery and provide:

  • your order number
  • full name
  • clear photographs of the product
  • photographs of all external packaging and labels
  • details of the issue

 

No claims for transit damage, printing faults, or product defects will be accepted once the wallpaper has been cut, installed, or applied to a surface.

Comm de Nom reserves the right to determine whether goods are deemed damaged, defective, or incorrectly supplied and may request additional evidence before approving a replacement, refund, or store credit.

Where a claim is approved, Comm de Nom may, at its discretion:

 

  • replace the affected product
  • reprint the affected section
  • provide store credit
  • issue a refund

 

Comm de Nom is not responsible for labour costs, installer fees, reinstallation costs, third-party contractor expenses, accommodation costs, project delays, or any consequential losses arising from damaged or defective goods.


 

INSTALLATION DISCLAIMER

Wallpaper should always be installed by a qualified professional installer experienced with premium wallcoverings.

Variations in wall texture, lighting, paint colour, adhesive selection, humidity, installation technique, and environmental conditions may affect the final appearance of the wallpaper and do not constitute a manufacturing fault.

Customers are responsible for confirming quantities, measurements, and suitability before purchase.


 

REFUND PROCESSING

Once returned goods are received and inspected, approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.

Please allow approximately 1–5 business days for processing, plus additional time required by your financial institution.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact .


 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Comm de Nom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the purchase, delivery, installation, use, misuse, delay, or inability to use any product supplied by us.

Our liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
